Only in Denmark!

I’ve been wanting to post this for a while, now:

If you look carefully at the pic on the bottom, you’ll see… YEP… AN ICE CREAM CART! Now, there is nothing wrong with an ice cream cart, right? The “ice cream” man comes ringing his bell, every other  Friday, and excited kids run out to get a treat. The funny thing, however, is that this time the poor guy (who obviously needs to make a living) was doing his usual ringing, under the dark and snowy “københavns” weather!!! Actually, one week before I took this pic, and as I walked under one of the worse snow storms this winter has seen –mind you, I was totally oblivious to the fact that it was one of the worse snow storms, so far… poor snowy-weather-ignorant Mexican girl — I saw him; well… heard him or his bell, anyway; I could not believe it was him given the weather, but it was, so when he turned around the corner I stared in awe and disbelief, only to realize — too late — I should have taken a picture since the situation was laughable, and the scenery beautifully white. Oh well… those things happen. At least I have my memories and recollections, though I can’t visually share those with you. Still, ladies and gentlemen, I give you… drum rolls …trtrtrtrtrtrtrtrtrttrt… the ice cream man!

Oh, much love and happy New Year, though I still – for real – don’t understand why we wish each other such thing… But that in itself is a reflection for another post. All my love,

– Alex  (“hjem-is” means “home-ice”, as in home-made ice cream)

p.s. Probably my one New Year’s resolution will be trying to take more pictures, for your enjoyment… yeah, yeah, also “post” more often… It’s a shame I call myself a writer.
